Solutions Made
for Your Needs

Every butcher shop says their meat is better. We’d rather just show you why. Here’s what actually happens to every cut before it reaches your counter, no vague promises, just the specific things we do differently.

01

US-Sourced,
Regional Provenance

Every cut in our case starts with a decision about where it came from, not an accident of whatever showed up on a truck that week. Our beef comes from family ranches in South Dakota, Nebraska, and Iowa, and our pork is 100% Michigan-raised, start to finish.

That’s not a marketing line, it’s something we can actually tell you cut by cut, because we chose every one of those farms on purpose. Regional, traceable sourcing like this is rare in a butcher shop this size, and it’s the first reason people trust what’s in our case before they even taste it.

02

Grass-Fed &
Grass-Finished

Cattle labeled as grass-fed primarily consume grass or forage during their early life stages. However, many grass-fed cattle are later switched to a grain-based diet during the finishing phase to accelerate weight gain, which can affect the nutritional profile and flavor of the meat.

03

Black Angus Beef

Not all Black Angus is created equal, and the difference comes down to a decision made years before the meat ever reaches our counter. Our Black Angus cattle are raised specifically for beef production. Much of the beef at the supermarket can come from dairy cattle at the end of their working lives and does not marble, cook, or taste the same way.

That distinction is why our marbling holds up cut after cut, and why the same steak cooks the same way every single time you buy it. Consistency isn’t flashy, but it’s exactly what keeps people coming back to this case.

Really Means

Chamber-Sealed Fresh

If you’ve ever opened a package of meat and wondered why it looked deep purple instead of red, here’s the honest answer: deep purple is fresher. Every cut we sell goes into a zero-oxygen chamber seal within five minutes of being cut, which locks in color, flavor, and shelf life before oxidation ever has a chance to start.

It blooms back to a bright red the moment you open the package, that’s just chemistry, not a sign anything’s wrong. Chamber-sealing within minutes of the cut is something almost no other butcher shop in the area actually does.

Not Red

05

Hand-Trimmed
Before You Pay

Most of what a butcher does happens before you ever see the meat, and trimming is where that work shows up most directly in your wallet. We hand-trim the fat and gristle off every cut before it ever hits the scale, so the weight on the sticker is the weight of meat you’re actually going to eat, not the parts you’d throw away in your own kitchen.

It takes longer than running a piece through a machine, but doing it right for our customers is the whole point of choosing a real butcher shop.

Where Our Meat Comes From

There’s a version of this business where the meat just shows up, a truck, a warehouse, a box with a grade stamped on it. That’s not how we do it. Every cut in our case traces back to a farm we chose on purpose, and here’s exactly why.

Dry Aged

Case Favorite

Dry-aged beef is one of the three things people walk in asking for by name, right alongside our Prime cuts and our grass-fed, grass-finished beef. It starts as the same Black Angus we source for everything else in the case, born and raised for beef production, never pulled from a dairy herd at the end of its working life.

Aging concentrates it. The flavor goes deeper and nuttier, the texture turns tender in a way a fresh-cut steak never quite matches.

Beef

Black Angus

Every cut of beef we sell comes from family ranches in South Dakota, Nebraska, and Iowa. It's Black Angus, every time, and it's raised specifically for beef, not pulled from a dairy herd at the end of its working life. Our grass-fed and grass-finished beef comes from Colorado, and the difference matters, grass-finished means it ate grass all the way through, not just started on it, which is where the real flavor comes from.

Where's the Beef

Pork

100% Michigan

All of our pork is raised and processed right here in Michigan. It's a short trip from farm to counter, which means fresher pork, chops that stay juicy instead of drying out, and sausage made right here in-house from that same Michigan pork and real, organic ingredients, not shipped in from somewhere else.

Why It Tastes Different

Poultry

Amish-Raised

Our poultry comes from Amish farms, raised the traditional way, without the shortcuts a mass producer takes.

We keep it consistently stocked, there are very few days we're without something from the poultry case. Call ahead if you're planning a meal around a specific cut, and we'll tell you exactly what's in this week.

Seafood

Weekly Pre-Order

We're a butcher shop first, but we bring in fresh seafood every week too. Place your order by Thursday at noon and it arrives fresh Friday morning, ready for pickup. We also keep a small rotating selection in the freezer case for anyone who didn't plan ahead.

Sausage

Made In-House

Every sausage we sell is made in-house from our own Michigan pork and real, organic ingredients, never brought in from an outside supplier. We keep four traditional flavors in the case every week, plus a rotating Sausage of the Week that changes things up. Recent weeks have included a Reuben sausage made with corned beef, thousand island dressing, and sauerkraut, and a Philly cheesesteak version. It's consistently our most-requested item at the counter.

Grass-Fed vs.
Grass-Finished?
We’ll Explain.

Grass-fed and grass-finished sound like the same claim, but they’re not. Understanding that difference, and how it shapes flavor and texture, is key to picking the right cut for your meal. We break it all down in our guide.

The Plymouth Prime Meats
Rewards Program

Our meat earns its price on flavor alone, no coupon required. But since you’re already coming back for more, we figured it’s worth rewarding that. More than 5,300 people are already in the program, earning a point for every dollar they spend, and the points don’t expire on you.

Redeem automatically via Clover

Here's the thing about a rewards program: it should feel like something a real butcher shop runs, not a loyalty app bolted onto a supermarket register. Every point here comes from buying meat we're genuinely proud to sell, top-quality Black Angus, grass-finished beef, Michigan pork, all of it cut and trimmed by hand.

So when those points turn into five dollars off, a free hat, or a dry-aged steak on the house, you're not trading down to get the deal. You're getting the same premium cut from the same case, for less, simply because you kept coming back.

That's the whole idea: great beef and a great discount were never supposed to be opposites. Shop here enough and the case starts working for you, a free sweatshirt one visit, a steak on us the next, real savings stacked on top of meat that's actually worth eating. No app, no punch card to lose, just points that keep adding up the more you trust us with dinner.
